Grieving How long is okay?

Gift of Grief : Suffering never feels like a gift until we come to a place of hindsight

Grief can be subtle or devastating, it can be expressed or repressed. It can shape the way you view your past, present and future. The loss of your mother never fully goes away. She is part of you. That moment can return at the strangest times when you reach out to communicate with them and then with a pang of the heart realise they are not there. I helped myself to travel the journey more deeply with my mother while she was in palliative care by writing and sharing poems with her. Then I thought how important it is especially in those moments when everyone else has moved on to have a companion who knows how you feel. These poems are jumping off point into your feelings. The depth of your parents influence on your own feelings. Reflections of how you have been shaped by their way of walking in the world.

I offer also this track to meditate on before writing about life and loss.
